Oops

Will, in those nasty massive Walgreens glasses he wears to protect his eyes from the evil rays of the sun, pointing at...something. I think in the original sketch, it was a mushroom cloud. Or maybe he's saying, "I can see your house from here". Who knows. I like how his hands turned out in this, even if I don't like how his face did. And there's something about those glasses that seems weird. *sigh* This is what I get for drawing really, really tiny (I think he's about three inches or four inches long).

Yes, AG/Chicago Menavor vampires do not like the sun very much. They're nocturnal, so their eyes are made for taking in small amounts of light in almost total darkness. Sunlight really, really hurts and if it's too bright and they've been somewhere dark, all they see is a horrible blinding burst of white for minutes. However, due to their eyes being keyed for picking out colors in muted light, when they do look at something like, say, a tree in sunlight, the colors are insanely intense. Thus why they usually wear sunglasses when outside. Though, they can get conditioned to bright light. William is proof of that. His new diurnal activities and his constant exposure to sunlight eventually makes it so that the sun doesn't hurt quite as much. The trade is that if you stick him in a dark room, it takes him about an hour to get his proper nightvision back and after that, he has to recondition himself to the sun again.
