I know this is from a series of sketches, but I can't help myself. For the part where she's yelling, I think it would've been better if her talking bubble was jagged-edged.
For when he says "Egads!" I love how the dash stretches the bubble out, too. XD;
I was also thinking, their designs are unexpected. They match a time period feel, but it's weirdish that they don't have a lot of accessories, fancy buttons, and frills. Maybe it's just the fashion-obsessed us talking, but we wanted to point it out.
Sorry for rambling about tiny comic nit-pickings. o_o;
Hmmm, a good point. I've been trying out different ways to show yelling as the jagged bubbles aren't working with the page design right now. If you have any suggestions for it, I'd love to hear them as my bubbles come out as either weird looking or not yelling (more like talking loudly).
(you know, there's no good emote to show a chuckle...) That's pretty much how the word ballons will look, though I'm thinking of removing the black borders and having them as just solid coloured wonky circles. I still have to pick a font, though...
Yes, it's true, they don't. Mostly because I will be drawing them a lot and a lot of accessories will make each page even longer to make, but I do intend to give Clarisse more of a fashion flair (maybe she'll get buttons). Sadly, Amser will remain fairly simple as he's a simple clothing kind of guy.

I think I may have figured out what went wrong in the sketch. I only drew her face and some of her upper body with construction lines, then did the rest free-hand which is why her legs and hips look really weird (at least to me).

Her head is too tall and her legs and hips don't line up properly, but hey, whatever. When I get to this point, it'll look much better.
